I spent my early childhood growing up in rural Worcestershire where my father was the Headteacher of the local village school.
At the age of 8 we moved into the city of Worcester where I attended St Mary’s Convent School. After A levels I went to Cardiff College of Education to train to be a teacher and it was also where I met my future husband. My specialist subjects where History and English.

After graduating as a teacher I got my first teaching job at a primary school in Yorkshire. Many years and numerous schools later (which also included having a family – two sons) I retired and set myself the challenge of fulfilling a lifetime ambition of writing a full length novel.

During my teaching career I had written some short stories which I read to my classes over the years and they always seemed to be enthralled.

My first novel – Carenza’s Journey – was the initial fulfilment of my literary ambition and to have my debut novel published was amazing. Now bitten by the ‘literary bug’ I have completed my second novel, which is titled Carenza’s Heirs. It is the sequel to Carenza’s Journey. It is now going through the publication scrutiny process.

I am about to publish my fourth novel - The Devine Girls.
